Food scientists from the State of Michigan Department of Agriculture were dispatched to Kalamazoo to help stores determine what they could keep and what needed to be disposed of due to damage caused by the tornado. They also assisted restaurants in getting back up to code before reopening. Pictured is Robert Hankey, photographed by Albert Hafner.
